Independent software studio
Your files never
leave your phone.
30 Android apps that run entirely on the device — media players, on-device AI tools, and utilities that each do one job — plus a daily intelligence brief and a catalog of award-winning books on the web. No Tidox server holds your data, because there is none. Here is exactly what that means, and what still leaves the phone.
Three things we run
One studio, on the phone and on the web.
Where your data goes
The short version of what the apps do and do not send. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
Stays on your phone
- Files you open, record, scan or transcribe. Transcription runs on the device with a local Whisper model, so audio is not uploaded.
- Your playlists, notes, tasks, flashcards and clipboard history.
- App lock PINs, patterns and fingerprint settings.
- Anything an app saves for later. There is no Tidox account and no cloud sync, so there is nowhere for it to go.
Leaves your phone
- Ad requests Google AdMob
- Free versions show ads. The ad request carries the usual advertising identifiers, which you can reset or limit in Android settings.
- Crash reports Firebase Crashlytics
- A stack trace and device model when an app crashes, so the bug can be found.
Full detail, including how to contact us about your data, is in the privacy policy.
What that means for you
Your content is not the product
The files, recordings and notes you create in a Tidox app are never uploaded, sold or shared. What leaves the device is listed above, in full.
No account, no sign-in
No Tidox app asks you to register. There is no password to lose and no profile to delete, because none is created.
Paying removes the ads
Premium versions are a one-time purchase that switches the ads off. Nothing else changes, and the free version is not crippled to push the upgrade.
Uninstalling ends it
App data lives on the device. Removing the app removes it. Nothing is kept on a server waiting for you to come back.
When something breaks
Every app has Help & Support in its menu, which sends the report with the app version and device model already filled in. That is the fastest route, because it saves the back and forth about which build you are running.
Email works too. A person reads every message and answers it, usually within a couple of days.
